One successfully ingested transcript or note is one document. A separate transcript and note count as two. Unchanged duplicates and technical retries do not count again. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC; unused documents don’t roll over. No automatic overage charges. AI chat provider costs are separate.

Files you only sync or stage aren’t billed until managed ingestion succeeds. A completed classification marked Needs Review still counts.
How do team licenses work?
One organization subscription covers the purchased team seats. Each employee then receives a unique Oatmeal license key assigned to their email. Initial seat assignment is operator-assisted. Activation verifies the employee’s assigned email and license. Each seat can be active on one device at a time. Deactivate that device before transferring to another. Lemon Squeezy handles billing. Oatmeal issues the employee seat keys and enforces device limits. Self-service team administration is not available in this release. The Teams estimate covers 1–25 people; larger teams and custom quotas are discussed through Enterprise. A shared organization code is not an employee activation credential.
Does Oatmeal record or transcribe meetings?
No. Oatmeal works with notes and transcripts you already have. Bring supported local files, or use a supported source connector to import available text.
What does Jev do?
TypeSafe Jev classifies a document using your configured categories, audiences, and document types. It does not transcribe audio or generate chat answers. Local themes use recurring terms across your selected sources.
What happens if I reach my allowance?
New managed ingestion pauses until your allowance resets or you change plans. Your existing local workspace remains available. There are no automatic overage charges.
Can I try Oatmeal before choosing a plan?
Explore the interactive preview on this page using fictional conversations. This marketing site cannot import files or activate a license. The macOS app supports local workspaces and bring-your-own-key classification. Managed ingestion and billing require the hosted service to be configured and tested before launch.
